The Ritual Sphinx - Nyx
On ”Nyx”, The Ritual Sphinx paints a 43-minute droning soundscape through FM virtual synthesis. The album is an intense experience, as it shifts through its vast palette of emotions and moods. There’s constant evolution to the compositions, something that is not always the case with droning ambient music. Dry Wedding - Sway
On Sway, Dry Wedding (USA) combines southern gothic rock and post punk into a unique, beautifully coherent artistic statement. The music has a bleak and sombre sound, while still displaying tons of energy and raw power. Indrid Cold' s music has a contemplative, droning quality to it. The ambient pads swell and swirl. Otherworldly string sections billow to the pulse of these transmissions. Occasional spoken word segments bring cryptic messages from faraway places. "Caverns & Constellations" is calming,

Edicule - Finitude
Edicule - Finitude Edicule (Tucson, Arizona) presents a raw display of atmosphere-laden black metal on their first full-length album "Finitude", released in June of 2025. Describing their sound as "transcendent Black Metal from the burning desert night", Edicule captures the ghostly emptiness of the very place they draw inspiration from: a bleak, relentless feeling of desolation. The drums are somewhat mixed to the background, letting the guitar and vocal work take precedence
